Thinking Skills
If you have seen young people given permission to think then you have been given
a vision!”
Edward de Bono ‘Thinking Course’
At
T2T(UK) we are working to establish
the importance of thinking through:
- ENHANCING thinking about thinking.
- EMBEDDING the thinking
skills curriculum through the use of Cooperative Leaning Structures.
- EXPERIENCE:
delivering workshops with simple instructional strategies to engage and develop
the fifteen most fundamental thinking skills.
T2T(UK) deliver Thinking Skills workshops
that are high impact and practical. Learn to implement the Kagan 15 Thinking Skills
model as part of every lesson, so every lesson becomes a thinking skills lesson!
This model goes beyond Bloom’s Taxonomy! Your lessons will be a-buzz with engagement
and most importantly you will be equipping your students with thinking skills they
will use for a lifetime!
- Be the facilitator for critical and creative thinking.
- Release the potential
of effective questions.
- Learn simple structures that develop specific Thinking
Skills such as Agree/Disagree Line-Ups, Listen-Sketch-Draft, Team-Pair-Solo and
more!
- Review cooperative learning basics
- Make thinking fun for your
students—and you!
We should not be asking ourselves, “how much time should
we spend on thinking skills?” Instead we should be asking,
‘What thinking skills am I developing using this particular structure?’”
Followed by “Which additional Thinking Skills could
I strengthen using other structures?”
“Intelligent behaviour is knowing what to do when you don’t know what to do.”
